Given 2008-06-30

Power over Life by ~lillithsatine. The focus of this photograph is the custom-made corset. The photo is full of symbolism, from the Renaissance in the aristocratic Tudor-style headdress and pose inspired by Holbein to the iconic modern necklace to the regal and glorious model holding the globe within which is a bird's nest containing a single egg, suggesting that she, the primal deity, holds the "power over life." But the purpose of this photograph here is the corset, custom-fitted and made from fabric befitting the Goddess of the Earth. (Featured by `Kitten-of-Woe)
